Kathleen Muhr is the Director of Community Engagement for UMass Medical School’s Work Without Limits initiative that aims to increase employment of people with disabilities. Kathleen manages partnerships with colleges and universities, one stop career centers, and private and government agencies to source candidates for Work Without Limits Business Network member companies. Kathleen coordinates various Work Without Limits events such as mentoring days and career fairs and consults on several disability youth-focused projects. She has extensive experience in the fields of disability research and community engagement. Kathleen Muhr graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and holds a Master’s in Education from Providence College. Prior to Kathleen’s employment at UMass Medical School, she created a Resident Services program for low-income families, elderly and people with disabilities in public housing, and was a counselor for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
